The Aftermath ...

Hi Lovelies 🌿

It’s been a while since our last blog post, and the time feels right to pause and share with you again — especially now.

As many of you may know, our beloved island of Jamaica was recently impacted by Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm that caused severe devastation across the Western Parishes. For our international customers and community, we wanted to bring you into what has been unfolding here at home.

As your Christ-Centred Wellness Provider

We feel called to reflect on two important things during this time:

  1. Maintaining an Internal Oasis of Peace

  2. Fulfilling Our Social Responsibility

These two are beautifully intertwined. Even as we care for ourselves and nurture our inner peace, we are also called to extend love and support to others — especially those most affected by this disaster. Finding balance means making sure we are well enough to give from a place of strength and compassion.

For those that are struggling in whatever way, remember you can disconnect from social media if you need to and take the time you need to get in the right headspace of wholeness. In times like these taking a walk, praying, talking with loved ones and doing things you love can improve your mental well-being.

Giving What We Can

Some days, giving flows easily. On other days, it requires deeper strength and faith. Yet, we are reminded in Acts 20:35:

“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’

The Western Parishes have endured great loss — lives, homes, livelihoods, and hope disrupted in an instant. It’s easy to distance ourselves as a coping mechanism, however now more than ever, we are needed.

Whatever your capacity, please give — whether that’s time, resources, or financial support. Every act of kindness makes a difference.

How You Can Help

We are partnering with The Stanbury Foundation to provide relief through donations of food, clothing, cash, and other essentials for affected families.

  • International Friends: You may contact us via email at info@rachroyalty.com or WhatsApp at +1 (876) 351-9408 to make a cash donation or to send items directly to us.

  • Local Clients: You may drop off food items or supplies at the Spa or at our New Kingston office (The Hub, 8 St. Lucia Crescent). You may also donate cash or volunteer your time — a group will be heading west on designated days to deliver items and assist where needed.

A Gentle Reminder

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father... For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink... I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me.’”
Matthew 25:34-36

Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus — in whatever way we can.

Remember, two things can be true at once: you can care for your own wellbeing while also caring for others. Fill your cup so that you can pour from abundance, not depletion. Giving doesn’t look the same for everyone — your “help” might be giving of your time or a donation. All are deeply valued.

With love and grace,
Rach from Rach Royalty Spa 💛
